The Crockpot

Two days ago I was cleaning my kitchen and in the process, I tried to get my Crockpot (which looks similar to the one above) off of my refrigerator. Unfortunately, it fell and clocked me right in the forehead. It hurt. A lot. I immediately put the closest frozen something on my head, which happened to be a vegetable medley steamer bag. I laid down for a while and once the stars subsided I just went on my way. Well, life isn't that easy. Yesterday I started feeling worse and ended up going to the ER. Turns out, my crock pot gave me a concussion. Also, remember how when you go to the hospital and ten people ask you the same questions (What happened? How long ago was it? What are you feeling now?) To my embarrassment, I had to tell every doctor and nurse that I dropped a Crockpot on my head--every single person laughed.

Now, I can't work for a couple days and I'm not sure what to do with myself.

Moral of the story: Don't store your Crockpot any place higher than your head.

I finally finished reading this book! It took me forever to read, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it...because I did, and I entertained the thought of reading the second book (Claudius the God).  Anyway, I took a lot of Latin in my younger years and enjoyed classics and Classics (in one such Classics class, a professor described me as 'bo-opus'...compliment?) so I enjoyed reading this. Mostly read on flights

Hey! I wrote a book!

Oh wait...that's just my celebrity doppelganger. Anyway, reading the book convinced me even more that she is my celebrity doppelganger, personality included. 

I, too, constantly have this concern.  And I make that face quite a bit.

Anyway, this book is Couch approved.  Very similar to Tina Fey's book.

Speaking of Fassbender...

(And one should always speak of Fassbender) I can't wait for this movie to come out in theaters. The trailer definitely looks intriguing.

What I Bought Today

Bought this hat at my local Target today. Bonus: it was on sale for half off the original price! Score! I'm going to Atlanta later this month and can't wait to wear this hat with several outfits. No worries, will totes share my different outfits with you (because I'm sure you're on the edge of your seats with anticipation).

the confusing part: does Kevin Bacon have a painting of him that's aging somewhere? Why is Michael Fassbender dating Zoe Kravitz? (is that still on? I read that she's with Penn Badgely, aka Dan from Gossip Girl. Fassbender can do so much better)
