Speaking of Shoes

While we're making lists of what we want, I would like to add these. Crossing fingers that these are the shoes I'll wear for my wedding this year.

New Year, New Shoes

Let's resurrect this blog!

These Marc by Marc Jacobs loafers are so awesome. And they are on their way to me! Living the San Francisco life means I never wear heels (they are all hibernating in my closet).  There's no dress code at my office and these shoes are delightfully quirky enough to wear to work but interesting enough to wear out at night.

I feel like putting on a floaty dress and buying all of these shoes.  When is summer?!

Sad Realization

Ah friends...yesterday I realized that high heels and San Francisco just do not mix.  However,  I am stubborn and I insisted on not switching out shoes until I finally succumbed and had to switch in an Asian grocery store, holding on to the fridge where the chicken is stored.  I am sad to say I'll have to stick with flats and comfortable wedges from now on.  So let's look at some cute flats...and think about upcoming fun occasions that my heels can be worn at!

What do Blake Lively and I have in common?

these wonderful Coach boots.  (btw, I had them first, back off Blake)

Blake, I know decisions are hard, but did you mean to get dressed in a blanket? Judging by the look on your face, you don't even know what's going on right now

Super Hero Footwear: for that Adventurous Woman

These are AMAZEBALLS. Who doesn't want to dress like their comic book heroine of choice, and you get to skip out on the spandex. They are the brainchild of french designer André.

My favourite are definitely the Gotham ones:

I'm waiting on the ones that are Jean Gray as the Phoenix. I mean, she eats stars at one point, now that is the breakfast of champions.

Things I like that are completely unrelated..

What: Free People Gianna's Limited Edition Leather and Lace Gown

Why: I could never wear this dress because it wouldn't work for my body type, but I just think it is pretty awesome.

What: Bakers - Haywire Boot

Why: I sent my other riding boots back and I saw these today at the mall--they may soon be mine.

What: Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm

Why: Who doesn't love luscious lips?

What: Minnetonka Kilty Suede Moc

Why: One day while working at DSW, I met a woman (around Grandma age) that came in looking for these moccasins. It just so happened that earlier that day I was eyeing these up. After talking with her for a while, I learned that she hiked Pike's Peak** in a pair of these. Now, I just thought they were really cute, but if they make you superwoman, I've already started saving.

Boots

I have been looking for the perfect pair of riding boots--winter appropriate--FOREVER. I finally found a pair online, fell in love and ordered them ASAP. I came home everyday checking to see if they arrived and yesterday I was delighted to find the box sitting at the bottom of the stairs! I rushed them to my room to try them on with my skinny jeans and they were about a half size too small. Sadness. I called the company and started the return process with a big frown on my face. These are definitely the ones that got away...

I am still on the hunt for the perfect, comfortable winter boots...I work at a shoe store, why is this seemingly impossible????
