Last week I created my goal list for the remaining 7 1/2 weeks of 2011. I thought I'd give you an update as to how this progress has been coming along.
1. I will lose 10 lbs. Obviously this one won't be measured until the end of year. Moving right along.
2. I will not let more than 2 days pass in between workouts. I was doing pretty well with this. And then I got sick. I'll spare you the gory details of congestion and the whole feeling crappy bit.
3. I will have 2 interviews scheduled by the end of the year. I think the only message I've received lately from potential job employers have included the general statement "Thanks, but no thanks." Again, moving right along.
4. I will floss my teeth every night. Aha! Finally, a lofty goal that I have currently been able to keep. The health of my teeth thank you and this blog for keeping me in check.
5. I will be out of bed by 10 a.m. See #2 with the whole sick bit. But I was doing pretty well with this for the most part.
6. I will call my credit card company to convince them to lower my interest rates. I don't know if there are any studies out there on the type of callers who have been successful with lowering their interest rates, but I can guarantee that they likely did not have hacking coughs. This one will have to wait for another day.
7. I will send out letters and postcards to friends I've been promising them to for over a year. I swear I have a plan. That plan is to write them soon. Plus I'm itching to make copious amounts of baked goods that I don't have to keep.
7 1/2. I will finish a new book. I finished P&P a couple days ago. I haven't picked up where I left off on Omnivore's Dilemma but I will get to it soon. Maybe it will accompany me as an airplane read.
There you have it. My updates on my 7 1/2 goals. Lofty and incomplete. Lucky for me, there are 7 more weeks left in this year. Best get moving.
